OUR POLICIES

Floating etiquette

Please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Our buses will leave at scheduled times. We cannot hold or keep buses back as it will effect other guests floating experience.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled float in order to avoid being charged the $50 security deposit. If you drop equipment, change equipment or no call/no show the day of the float, the full amount of rental will be charged.

Rainy Day Policy

First and foremost, do not assume that since it is raining wherever you are the morning of your float (i.e., at home in St. Louis) that it is raining at Jeff's Canoe Rentals. If you are a no show because of bad weather somewhere else and it did not rain at Jeff's Canoe Rentals, you will forfeit your deposit charge of $50.

In the event of a rainy day, we will postpone all floats until 11:30am. If it is still raining at that time, a rain check that is valid for one year from the date of your scheduled float will be issued. The rain check may be used on any date as long as there is availability.

Fishing & Tackle

Pets
We have a lot of very loyal customers that patronize Jeff's Canoe Rentals who are pet lovers. We understand that for a lot of our customers, the family pet is more like another member of the family. However we will under NO circumstances allow pets in our rafts. If you choose to bring your pet floating, you may only float in a canoe. Understand that you will be taking your pet on a crowded bus (sometimes a VERY crowded bus) and that there will most likely be small children near your pet. You will assume full responsibility for your pet.
Fishing and tackle is only allowed on canoes and kayaks. If tackle is brought onto a raft it will be taken back to the office for you to pick up after the float. If damages are made to the raft because policy was not followed, a deposit will be charged.
